Emotional Empathy explores the invisible connection between two people who share the weight of the same emotion.

Two figures come together in a moment of vulnerability, their forms almost becoming one. Sorrow, tenderness and a sense of quiet connection exist alongside one another, leaving the nature of their relationship open to interpretation.

Through the language of Geocubist Surrealism, the work asks a simple but complex question: when we truly empathise with another person, where does their emotion end and ours begin?
